The Dhaka Times Desk Superstar cinematographer Manna's new movie is releasing 13 years after his death! This hero's latest movie is Jeevan Tandh.
Superstar actor Manna passed away 13 years ago. After so many years of his death, this hero's latest movie 'Jeevan Tandh' is going to be released. The director of the movie, Zahid Hossain, told the media that this is Manna's latest and new movie. The Censor Board recently cleared the release of the movie.
Actor Manna died of a heart attack in February 2008. The director said, before Manna died, he completed all the work except for one scene of the liberation war. That one scene was supposed to be brought back from outside the country. Manna dies without finishing the scene. That scene is an important part of the movie. Later I ended that scene differently.
The director also said that around 2010, the film was submitted to the censor after completing the entire work. Then the movie was called 'Leelamanthan'.
The then Censor Board also cleared the film. Since it is a liberation war movie, three representatives of the Ministry of Freedom Fighters watched the movie and made corrections in 3 places and there was also a letter from the ministry. After 3 months, the movie got stuck due to complications in the ministry. Later we got clearance from the censor through the Appellate Division. 'Leelamanthan' has been renamed as 'Jiwan Tanja'. The producer wants to release the movie in theaters in the month of December itself.
Produced by Khorshed Alam Khusroo, apart from the late hero Manna, Moushumi, Poppy, Aliraj, Misha Saudagar and many others have acted in this 'Jeevan Tandh' movie. This movie 'Jiwan Tanja' has been made on various issues of liberation war and sex village of that time. It also adds two new characters due to Manna's departure.
Director Zahid Hossain said that Bapparaj and Dighi were added to the film due to the lack of Manna. Bapparaj-Dighi was roped in as per the producer's demand with some revisions to the story. Watching the movie doesn't suggest that they were added after renovations. I have seen all the movies of Manna. One of the best movies in his career was this 'Jiwan Tandh'.
Producer Khorshed Alam Khosru said, since this movie starring Manna is about liberation war, I want to release this movie on any patriotic day like Victory Day, Mother Language Day or Independence Day. Source: Channel i.
