The Dhaka Times Desk Bangladesh gave legal notice to 5 people including Facebook leader Mark Zuckerberg for managing Facebook according to international principles. This notice was given by post.
Apart from Zuckerberg, the notice has been sent to Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) chairman, IT ministry secretary, Home (Public Security) secretary and Digital Security Agency director general.
The notice was sent by post today Thursday (November 18) on behalf of four persons including journalist Salim Samad. Their lawyer Tapas Kanti Ball informed the media.
The notice asks the notice recipients to take measures to comply with international guidelines to prevent abuse of Facebook.
3 days from the receipt of notice are given to the noticeees to take necessary action. The notice also mentions that legal action will be taken to seek redress otherwise. Source: RTV.
