Fourth industrial revolution is not possible without digital economy: Junaid Ahmed Palak

The Dhaka Times Desk Highlighting the importance of digital transformation, Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak said that it is not possible to keep pace with the fourth industrial revolution without digital devices, digital finance and digital economy.

The State Minister said this in his speech as the chief guest at the seminar titled 'Leveraging Fourth IR' to attract local and foreign investors by utilizing the investment facilities of Bangladesh under the initiative of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority on the occasion of Bangladesh Investment Summit at Radisson Blu Hotel in the capital yesterday (Sunday) night.

Junaid Ahmed Palak presented various data and presented various measures and plans on this subject, mentioning that Bangladesh is preparing to lead the fourth industrial revolution. He said that citizens are now enjoying the benefits of modern life through the dramatic changes in the economy and the way of life in the society with the benefit of technology.

He also said that data-driven smart solutions should be developed using Internet of Things to consolidate their position in the global knowledge-based industry. This growth cannot be sustained without startups. Currently, business is becoming dependent on online targeting the global market.

Citing the instructions of the Prime Minister's ICT Adviser, the State Minister further said that through the development of knowledge-based hi-tech services, the people of Bangladesh will not only be part of the fourth industrial revolution; He will also occupy the seat of leadership.
