Police couple murder Daughter Aishi's parents are victims of love

The Dhaka Times Desk Police couple Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Swapna Rahman were victims of the love of their daughter Oishi. He brutally hacked his parents to death by drugging them.

These words have come out in Oishi's words. Aishee had been missing since the Mahfuz-Sapna murder. He surrendered at Paltan police station yesterday around 12 noon. During interrogation, he admitted his involvement in the murder. Last night, the detective police held an official press conference and released the information about the murder. The detectives have found information about the conflict between the parents and the daughter behind the murder. Aishi's love affairs, yaba consumption and promiscuous behavior created conflict with her parents. From this dispute, he plans to kill his parents. However, the detectives could not be sure till yesterday whether Oishi participated alone in the murder or if anyone else was with him. Aishee, her lover Roni, girlfriend Trisha and Basa's maid Sumi are being interrogated in police custody to find out the background story of the incident.

Oishi Rahman, the daughter of the slain police couple, surrendered suddenly at Paltan Police Station of the capital yesterday around 12 noon. Later, a team of detective police took him along and conducted raids in different areas of the capital and arrested three people suspected to be involved in the murder. They are Aishi's boyfriend Roni, girlfriend Trisha and the police couple's maid Sumi.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Joint Commissioner (DB) Monirul Islam said that preliminary interrogation and investigation revealed the involvement of Oishi in the murder of the police couple. At the time of the murder, Oishi, her younger brother Oihi Rahman and maid Sumi were present in the house apart from the couple who were killed. It is being investigated whether there was anyone else. He also said that the motive of the murder could be known by interrogating the arrested in detail, but it cannot be said for the sake of the investigation.

Monirul Islam also told the media that immediately after the murder, DB Police started investigation along with Thana Police. Some suspects have been arrested in this incident. Since the incident, Oishi Rahman, the daughter of the deceased couple, and Sumi Begum, the maid, were missing. Apart from arresting them, Oihi Rahman, the younger son of the deceased couple, has been kept in police custody. Aishee's involvement in the murder has been confirmed with information from these three. Besides, Oishi's 'close friend' has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the incident. His name is Ronnie aka Johnny.

Citing intelligence sources, the media said that Aishe (17), the only daughter of Inspector (Political) Mahfuzur Rahman of Special Branch (SB) of Police and his wife Sapna Rahman, was reckless in nature. He used to associate with naughty boys. Yaba was regularly consumed with them. Aishi, who studied 'O Level' in an English medium educational institution, lacked social and family values in her behaviour. Sometimes he came home with different boys. His behavior was irritable due to drug addiction. He often had conflicts and quarrels with his mother about these issues. Father being a police inspector was out most of the time. He could not inquire about the children. But after getting information about her behavior, he stopped going out with her. Oishi and her alleged friends are estranged from both parents. At one point, Oishi brutally hacked her parents to death at their home in Chamelibagh of the capital on Wednesday late night.

According to the post-mortem investigation, Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife were beaten with sharp weapons - knives and sticks on the bed in the bedroom. He was killed by hitting various parts of the body including throat, chest and ribs. Later, the two bodies were wrapped in cloth and left in the bathroom of the girl's room. Two major injuries were found on Mahfuz's body. Swapna had 11 injury marks on her body. From this, the police think that Aishi may have more anger towards her mother than her father. Shaheen, the security guard of the house, said that around 8 am on Thursday, Aishi tried to go out with her younger brother Aihi (9) and the maid of the house. At that time, the manager of that house, Amjad Hossain, prevented them from going out without the permission of their parents. At the same time, he called Mahfuzur Rahman's wife Swapna Rahman's mobile phone. Then it was said from that mobile phone, 'I am from Rajshahi. Let them go.'

The intelligence officials related to the investigation said that the mother's mobile phone was with Oishi at that time. As the mother's phone rang, she maneuvered away from the gate and received Amjad's call. Imitating her mother's voice, she ordered the girls to go outside. Manager Amjad Hossain said, I went to Oishi's house to rent a house on August 4. Then police officer Mahfuzur Rahman said, I have a problem with my daughter. Don't let him out every now and then. If you still want to go, call his mother and make sure.

Those in police custody

Others who have been taken into police custody to unravel the mystery of the murder are Aishe's girlfriend Trisha, CNG driver, deceased couple's younger son Aihi, Khalu Rabiul Alam, security guard Shaheen, Motaleb and Amjad.

Aihi is being interrogated by various techniques. Where was he on the night of his parents' murder? what did you see Where did his older sister take him? What kind of relationship did they have with their parents? The investigation officials are collecting detailed information on these issues. Besides, an investigation is also being conducted on who called Aishir Khalur's number from Swapna Rahman's mobile phone around 3 o'clock on the night of the murder. During the recovery of the body, the officials of the special branch of the police said that after the murder of the parents, Aishi had spoken to her aunt through her mother's mobile phone. He told Khalu about the quarrel with his parents. With the help of mobile phone technology, the phone was located in Gendaria area. Later they were in a house in Wari area of Old Dhaka. The detectives said that after the murder, Aishi rented a CNG car with her younger brother and maid and went around different areas of the capital. Called to various people for shelter. After not getting anyone on the phone, he went to his mugger's house with the CNG driver. He told the driver that he could not find his known friend. So requests the maid to stay with him for a day. The CNG driver agreed and kept the maid with him. Later, Oishi went to Kakrail from there and hired another CNG to send his younger brother to Chamelibagh residence. Oishi goes to her girlfriend Trisha's house. Along with his arrest, two bags were recovered from him. Several gold ornaments of the house were recovered from the bag. Even though she was involved in the murder of her parents, considering her age, Oishi can be made a witness in this murder case. Senior police officials discussed the matter but did not take a final decision. Sources said that a final decision will be taken after all the accused are booked.

How to kill

An official of the detective police said, Aishi's words are incoherent. Sometimes he says the opposite. As a result, all his words cannot be believed. In response to the question of how he killed his parents, Oishi said that after his father returned from work at around 11:30 pm, everyone ate and drank together. Then when father wants to drink coffee, he says to make it himself. Pre-purchased anesthetic drugs are mixed with coffee and given to the parents. After drinking coffee, they both passed out on the bed. Then the maid and younger brother fell asleep. Then he killed his parents by hacking them with a stick and a knife in the house. The investigating intelligence officer said that before killing her parents, Oishi admitted that she had eaten yaba with her friends in the evening. Roni was also in that chat. He had no problem in removing the body due to eating yaba. However, detectives do not believe this statement of Oishi. It was not immediately clear whether he was giving someone's prepared statement or speaking on his own. However, Aishi had a love affair with Roni, the scoundrel. Aishi's parents could not accept love with Yaba Khawa and Bakhat. So sometimes her mother Swapna Rahman used to beat Oishi.

The deceased Mahfuzur Rahman's father's name is late Matiur Rahman alias Matin Master. Mahfuz was the eldest among two brothers and three sisters. The bodies of the police couple were buried in the family graveyard of Maragangkanda village of Haluaghat police station in Mymensingh district late yesterday evening.

However, whatever happens, it has become necessary for the police to bring the real culprits and whoever is involved in this incident to justice and provide exemplary punishment. Because the deceased is a police officer. So it is expected that the police will proceed very cautiously.
