The Dhaka Times Desk Actress Mahi has opened up about the leaked phone records with State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murad Hasan. Mahi claimed to be a 'victim of circumstances'.

Mahi went to Makkah to perform Umrah with her husband Rakib Sarkar. The audio leaked on Sunday night was widely discussed on social media throughout the day on Monday. Based on which actress Mahi herself was criticized.

In a video message from Makkah in the evening, Mahia Mahi said, 'I actually had no words to say that day. That's why I didn't protest. I myself felt that I should pass by. So I kept quiet, passed by.'

There was an incident exactly two years ago and as always I say to Allah, Allah I am suffering. Through which I suffered myself, somehow he got the result.

Mahi claimed in the video message that he had a phone conversation with state minister Murad Hasan 2 years ago.

He said about the leak of this phone conversation, 'I was very embarrassed about the audio that day as well. Only I know and my God knows how much my self-esteem has been hurt. Even today I feel very embarrassed. Once again I have become small to myself. I was once again small to the countrymen. You will think for yourself, what should I have answered this language?'

Mahi also said in the video message, 'Allah is witness, I was not at fault. I was just a victim of a situation.'

It should be noted that the government was embarrassed due to the leak of that phone conversation. That is why the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting was asked to resign today (Tuesday).
