Gulf News reported in a report that an incident occurred in Baghdad, a war-torn Iraq. The report said with reference to the local media. The young man divorced his wife because of a 'provocative' song from Syria at the wedding ceremony.
According to local media reports, the song titled 'Mesayatara' sung by Syrian singer Lamis Kahn was one of the reasons for the couple's separation at the wedding ceremony. The Bengali translation of the Syrian song means 'I will control you'.
But the bride was not singing that song at all. His 'crime' was that he was dancing to the rhythm of that song!
According to local media reports, the bride was dancing to the rhythm of the song 'Mesayatara' at the wedding ceremony. The groom saw his family dancing with that particular song as a provocation. So the groom first started arguing with the bride about this. At one point, the young groom divorced the bride during the wedding ceremony.
However, this is not the first case of separation of newlyweds due to this particular song in the Middle East. Last year too, a young man in Jordan divorced his bride for playing this song at a wedding ceremony. Surely to know what is special in this song for which the incident of separation happened at the wedding ceremony itself. The Bengali version of the Syrian song means something like this:
