The Dhaka Times Desk Short film 'CNG Driver' has been officially selected for the Pune International Short Film Festival. Its young director Rabiul Sikder said that the film will be shown in the 20th edition of this year.
Actress Shilpi Sarkar Apu played the central role in this film written and directed by Rabiul. A woman has to face various problems while moving in the society. When there is no one in the family as the main boss, he is forced to take the role of a man with a strong hand. To keep the wheels of the family moving, you have to change yourself and go down the road many times.
Being a victim of fate's cruel irony, CNG chose to raise expenses in the family. The husband earns his livelihood by driving CNG. The telefilm 'CNG Driver' was made in 2019 with such a story. Apart from Apu, Shyamal Mawla, Mishti Jahan, Hindol Roy, Azam Khan, Ansar Ali, Rahim Suman, Alif, Farooq and Sohag also acted.
Although it is a telefilm, it has been selected as a short film in international film festivals, according to its maker.
