যে দৃষ্টিনন্দন ঐতিহাসিক মসজিদটি আপনারা দেখতে পাচ্ছেন সেটি পঞ্চগড়ের সাড়ে তিন শ বছরের পুরোনো মির্জাপুর শাহী মসজিদ।
This Mirzapur Shahi Mosque is one of the examples of Mughal period architectural style. The mosque is located in Mirzapur village of Atwari upazila, 18 km from Panchagarh district town.
এটি আনুমানিক সাড়ে তিন শ বছর আগে স্থাপিত মসজিদটির নির্মাণ শৈলীর নিপূণতা এবং দৃষ্টিনন্দন কারুকাজ দর্শনার্থীদের নজর কাড়ে। নানা ইসলামি টেরাকোটা, ফুল এবং লতাপাতার কারুকাজ খোদাই করা রয়েছে এই মসজিদটির পুরো দেয়ালজুড়ে। মসজিদের সামনে আয়তকার টেরাকোটার কারুকাজগুলোর একটির সঙ্গে অপরটির কোনো রকম মিল নেই। মসজিদের দেওয়ালে ব্যবহার করা ইটগুলো চিকন, রক্তবর্ণ এবং বিভিন্নভাবে অলংকৃত।
এই মসজিদের দৈর্ঘ্য ৪০ ফুট, প্রস্থ ২৫ ফুট ও এই মসজিদের এক সারিতে রয়েছে ৩টি গম্বুজ। গম্বুজের চার কোণায় রয়েছে ৪টি মিনার। সামনে রয়েছে ৩টি দরজা। সদর দরজা এবং মাঝের গম্বুজের সামনের দিকে দুইপাশে রয়েছে দুটি ছোট মিনার। মসজিদের ভেতরের অংশে খোদাই করা ফুল, লতাপাতা, কোরআনে কারিমের আয়াত সম্বলিত ক্যালিগ্রাফি তুলির ছোঁয়ায় সুসজ্জিত হয়েছে। এসব খোদাই করা কারুকাজ বিভিন্ন রঙে বিভিন্নভাবে সাজানো রয়েছে। মসজিদের মনোমুগ্ধকর দৃশ্য ইবাদতে মশগুল ধর্মপ্রাণ মুসল্লিদের হৃদয়ের তৃষ্ণা মেটাতে সক্ষম। তথ্যসূত্র: https://barta24.com
