The Dhaka Times Desk Once again, 93 mass graves have been discovered at a residential school in Canada. These graves were found on the grounds of the St. Joseph Mission Residential School in the western province of British Columbia.

Investigators said the recovered remains are believed to be the indigenous Red Indian children of the country. Hundreds of such graves have been found in Canada before.

According to a Perstud report, the settlers in Canada after suppressing the original aboriginals brutally killed these aboriginal children and buried them there.

At that time boarding was compulsory in residential schools in Canada. In the 19th and 20th centuries, these schools were run by the government and religious authorities. Adivasi teenagers were forcibly placed in these schools.

Note that in 1969, the Canadian central government took control of the school. It operated as a residential school for local students until its closure in 1978.
