According to the report, the incident started from a pet shop. Recently, the owner of that shop and several customers have been infected with corona. While searching for the source, it is found that several hamsters in that shop are infected with corona. The statement of the administration is that it is clear from this that the corona infection is happening from animals to humans. After that all the customers of that shop are warned. It is said that those who have bought hamsters there in the last few weeks should return them to the authorities. Hamsters should not be petted by mouth. All customers must remain in isolation.
The same ban applies to those who have purchased hamsters from other stores. The administration has decided that two thousand hamsters will be killed to stop the corona infection. But they will be killed by humane process. So that their suffering is less.
The researchers of the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention, however, said that they have not yet received information that the corona virus is being transmitted to humans through animals. And so the scientific veracity of Hong Kong's claims has been questioned.
Animal-loving organizations claim, without scientific evidence, why will there be so many killings? Their further question is, if people are infected with corona, they are treated, if animals are infected, who gave them the right to kill them?
