It should be noted that Srijit married Bangladeshi actress Rafiyat Rashid Mithila on December 6, 2019. The director had earlier said about the film, “The film is made for children and dedicated to my daughter Aira. 'Kakababu's return' is based on Sunil Gangopadhyay's story 'A hotel in the jungle'. Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aryan Bhowmik, Anirban Chakraborty starrer of the film teaser, trailer was released earlier. It was also highly appreciated by the audience of all classes.
