Because after being caught by the police, Oishi herself said that she is 18/19. As there is a little complication with the age, the police have started the process of age test of Oishi Rahman, who is on remand on the charge of killing his parents as per the court order. To avoid controversy over age, Oishi and their maid Sumi were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital yesterday with the permission of the court. 5 pathological tests were done there. Apart from this, X-rays were done on various bones of Aishe's ankles, knees and waist. Through those tests it will be easy to determine the exact age of Aishi.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police DC Md. Masudur Rahman said, according to the information of the relatives of the deceased police couple, Oishi's age has passed 18 years. According to the Child Rights Act 1974, children up to 16 years. And Aisha is more than 16 years old. And the new Child Rights Act has been implemented from yesterday Wednesday (21st August 2013). So all the incidents that happened earlier will be covered under the previous law. As a result, there is no opportunity to call Aishi a child if she is more than 16 years old. And so the experts say, according to that, Aishi can no longer be called a child. Even if the school age is correct then his age is above 16 years.
