The student, who studied at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College in India for 11 years, resorted to this novel technique after repeatedly failing in the finals. One such novel and surprising incident happened in a medical college in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.
Quoting an official of Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Hindustan Times reported, 'That student has been studying in that medical college for 11 years. However, he repeatedly failed in the final. This was the last chance for him.'
Dean of the medical college in this regard. Sanjay Dixit said, 'On Monday, that student sat for the general medicine exam along with 78 others. Then a team led by Rachna Thakur, Deputy Registrar of Devi Ahilya Bai University reached there. A member of the team found a mobile phone in the inner trouser pocket of the student. The phone was turned on and connected to a Bluetooth device. However, the student did not find the Bluetooth device at that time. Then at one point in the interrogation, he admitted that an ENT surgeon had implanted a micro bluetooth device in his ear that matched the skin tone.'
Another student was also found with a micro Bluetooth device, but it was not surgically inserted, the dean of the medical college said. The device can be removed with a pin.
The devices are then sent to an internal testing committee. A decision will be taken later on whether or not legal action will be taken for the violation of the examination.
