The Dhaka Times Desk The Prime Minister presented the National Film Award 2020 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, via a virtual link from the Gana Bhavan. Information Minister on behalf of the Prime Minister. Hasan Mahmood handed over the prizes to the winners.
A total of 30 awards have been given in 27 categories this time. Impress Telefilm's 'Gore' bagged the maximum 11 awards. Gazi Rakayet won the maximum 4 awards as an individual for the same movie.
Actor Raisul Islam Asad has received the lifetime award. However, veteran actress Anwara, who jointly received the lifetime award, could not attend the award in person. His daughter actress Mukti accepted it on his behalf.
