The Dhaka Times Desk Berger, one of the country's leading paints solutions brand, has been continuously inspiring the people of the country above commercial interests, and in this continuation, the company recently organized the “26th Berger Young Painters Art Competition (BYPAC).
Berger regularly organizes this competition to recognize the talent of promising painters of the future. On the occasion, an award ceremony was organized at Gulshan Club, Dhaka, where six young and talented artists were felicitated for their unique paintings.
Contender Subarna Chakraborty Tanmoy's film titled "Close Up" was declared the winner of this event, through which he won the first prize of Tk 1 lakh. Runner-up Md. Moazzem Hossain and second runner-up Md. Mezanur Rahman won prizes of Tk 75,000 and Tk 50,000 respectively. Other winners included – Mohammad Fakhrul Islam Mazumdar, Asif Al Noor Ratul and Md Ariful Islam. All the winners were awarded prizes as well as crests and certificates.
Professor Nisar Hossain, Maksuda Iqbal Nipa, Kamal Uddin, Professor Dr. Bazlur Rashid Khan, Farhana Ferdowsi, Professor Anisuzzaman and Kamal Uddin. A jury panel selected this year's best paintings from a total of 411 paintings submitted by 373 participants. In this context, the Chairman of the Jury Committee and the Dean of Fine Arts Faculty of Dhaka University Professor Nisar Hossain said, “It was quite challenging for us to select the best five or six paintings from such wonderful paintings. But it also proves that we are going to have some great artists in Bangladesh in the future, so we must help them nurture their dreams and nurture the talent for the future”.

The submission period for the Berger Young Painters Art Competition was from July to September, 2021. Participants draw and submit images for the competition using their medium of choice from oil paint, acrylic, water color, sketch, line drawing, printmaking and mixed media. News bulletins.
