Police couple murder Aishee at the Girl Development Center. Counseling on emotional changes

The Dhaka Times Desk Aishi, the only daughter of the slain police couple, was taken to the Gazipur Kishori Unnayan Kendra after giving a confessional statement yesterday.

Police officer Mahfuzur Rahman and his only daughter Aishi and housekeeper Sumi, accused in the murder of his wife, have been taken to Gazipur Kishori Unnayan Kendra.

After giving her statement in the court, she was taken to Kishori Development Center in Konabari, Gazipur after 9 pm on Saturday. Taslima Begum, the supervisor of the Adolescent Development Center, said, "Aishee seemed quite normal."

According to media sources, this development center was established in 2002. This center has a capacity of 150 people. 110 girls involved in various crimes are currently housed here. They are counseled on mental change. Apart from this, religious education is given and they are also given manual training.

It is to be noted that on August 16, the dead bodies of Police SB inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Sapna Begum were recovered from their flat in Dhaka's Chamelibagh. The next day on August 17, his only daughter Aishi went to the police station and told herself about the murder of her parents. The police arrested her and later the court granted their remand. Yesterday, she confessed to the murder in the court. Later, the court sent Oishi and their maid Sumi, among the 3 arrested, to the Kishori Development Center and remanded Oishi's friend Mizanur Rahman Roni for another 5 days on police's request.
