At the time of discovery the fossil was encased in a concrete, much like a hardened mineral. It was previously believed to belong to the Pteryginosaurus.

However, the research was started again when the evidence was not found. Scientists decided to look at the fossil again. Based on their analysis, the authors of the new study concluded that the fossil does indeed belong to a pterygenosaurus. Based on specimens alone, it's impossible to know for sure how big a pterosaur was. Researchers say the dinosaur was huge, growing up to about 30 feet and weighing up to 3 tons.
