The moon of the month of Zilhaj is sighted: Eid-ul-Azha on 10 July

The Dhaka Times Desk The moon of the month of Zilhaj has been seen in the sky of Bangladesh. Therefore, the holy Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated in the country on July 10 (Sunday). The National Moon Sighting Committee gave this information on Thursday (June 30).

In the evening, the deputy directors of various districts of the country, including Sherpur, Comilla, called the religious invitation and culture department of the Islamic Foundation in the capital and informed about the sighting of the moon.

On the other hand, the moon of the month of Zilhaj was seen in the sky of the Middle East on Wednesday (June 29). Accordingly, the Zilhaj month of 1443 Hijri has started on Thursday (June 30) in those countries and Hajj will be held on July 8 and Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated in those countries on July 9.

Through the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha, the pious Muslims of the world carry the noble memory of the incomparable loyalty and great sacrifice of Allah's beloved servants and Prophets, Hazrat Ibrahim (a.s.) and Hazrat Ismail (a.s.). The Muslim ummah sacrifices an animal every year to please Allah.
