The Dhaka Times Desk The much awaited pop and hip hop charity event 'The Hype Festival' was organized for the flood victims with the participation of popular music stars of the country.
The Navratri hall of Bashundhara ICCB in the capital was filled with the magic of songs by Hriday Khan, Mila, Imran, Jalali Set, Zeffer, Black Jang, Mithun Chakra and Tashfi.
The organizers said in a press release that the proceeds from the event will be used to help flood victims in the Sylhet region.
International music star and country's popular artist Muja, actress Nusrat Faria and DJ Sonika also performed at the event. The line-up of the event was graced with some popular songs.
Ferdous Wahid, the country's legendary musician, was present as one of the main attractions of the event. The iconic popstar was also honored at the event with the 'Genesis Pop Icon' award.
It may be noted that the title sponsor of 'The Hype Festival' was 'Daraj BD' and the organizer was 'Full Circle Creative Limited'.
