The Dhaka Times Desk When going to sacrifice, attention should be paid to ensure that the animal slaughtered is pure. First: Rules must be clear. Secondly, there are certain conditions for slaughtering animals. Find out about them today.

According to the provisions of the Qur'an and Sunnah, 3 conditions must be met for the meat of the slaughtered animal to be pure and valid.
1. The slaughterer must be a Muslim.
2. Allah's name must be recited during slaughter.
3. Animals must be slaughtered in a Shariah compliant manner. And that is, cut the animal's esophagus, two trachea and blood vessel.
Animals should not be tortured during slaughter
On the authority of Shaddad bin Aws (R.A.), he said, Rasulullah (S.A.W.) said that, "Indeed, Allah has made it necessary to adopt the right method in all actions." So when you kill an animal kill it nicely. When you slaughter an animal, slaughter it well. Let each one of you borrow a knife (from the East) and grant peace (quick relief) to animals. (Bukhari)
The aforementioned hadith claims that people should follow the highest standards in killing animals, so that animals do not suffer excessively. It is not possible to completely avoid animal suffering during slaughter. But if the knife is sharp, his death will be easy. So in the hadith it is also ordered to sharpen the knife before slaughtering the animal. It is mustahab to water the animal and sharpen the knife before slaughter. Punishment means not tying him long before slaughter and giving him time to die after slaughter. In another hadith, Rasulullah (SAW) forbade bringing a knife in front of an animal before slaughtering it, and also ordered the slaughter to be completed quickly.

At the time of killing the animal, it should not be treated cruelly. If possible, one should refrain from slaughtering an animal in front of another animal, so that it does not fear death before it dies. Sometimes animals run away in fear of death. Cruelty to animals is absolutely inappropriate. After slaughtering, the animal should be skinned after its life is out. It is haram to skin the animal before it dies or the animal is completely calm. But if an animal has skin before it is completely calmed, its meat will not be haram, although he will be guilty of causing pain to the animal. The whole skin was valid, but it was also valid in pieces. (Kifayatul Mufti: 8/257, Aghalatul Awam, page 134)
It is makruh to drag the animal to the place of slaughter, to delay the slaughter for some time after lying down, to stab the animal in front of it. (Fatawae Alamgiri: 4/81)
