The entire rehabilitation process will take a long time; However, we are continuing our all-out efforts to speed up the rehabilitation process and overcome the impact of the damage.”
Tushar Bhowmik, Chief Financial Officer of BRAC said, "Understanding the terrible damage caused by the floods, BRAC is again calling on them to deliver the necessary items to more than 50,000 flood victims and launched the Amar Desh campaign. Popular instant messaging app IMO has joined us with financial support during this crisis. About 60,000 families have received dry food, water and other essential relief items under the 'Dakche Amar Desh' campaign. 7800 water purification tablets have been distributed to prevent outbreak of water borne diseases. Through this initiative, a plan was taken to provide financial assistance to 40 thousand families. As an emergency aid, the program provides food security, safe drinking water, sanitation facilities, personal hygiene, dignity kits, animal feed and other items.
