Police couple murder The court ordered to send Oishi to jail

The Dhaka Times Desk The court ordered to send their daughter Oishi, the accused in the police couple's murder case, to Dhaka Central Jail from Gazipur Kishori Correctional Center.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Anwar Sadat gave this order on the application of Chiddikur Rahman, Probation Officer of Department of Social Services, yesterday, August 29.

After 5 days of remand, Oishi and Sumi were produced in the court. On August 24, Oishi and their housekeeper Khadija Begum Sumi gave a confessional statement in this court regarding the murder of their parents. The court ordered them to be sent to the Juvenile Correctional Center in Gazipur in the evening after giving their statement in the judge's private room. They were taken to the Adolescent Development Center on the same day night. On the other hand, Oishi's friend Mizanur Rahman Roni, who was remanded at the same time, was again remanded by the police.

It may be noted that police couple Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Sapna Rahman were killed in their rented house in Chamelibagh on the night of August 14. The police recovered their bodies on the evening of August 16. Oishi, daughter of Mahfuzur Rahman and Sapna Rahman, surrendered at Paltan police station on August 17. Later the maid Sumi was also taken to the police station. Based on Oishi's statement, the police then arrested Oishi's friend Mizanur Rahman Roni. Police are still looking for the other two friends.
