The Dhaka Times Desk US President Joe Biden has said that the US will not leave the Middle East. He made these comments at a summit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia yesterday (July 16) as part of a four-day Middle East tour.
In a report, Al Jazeera reported, Joe Biden said, "We will never go away." We will not create a vacuum that can be filled by China, Russia or Iran.
During this time, Biden also called on people to 'give the opportunity to question and criticize leaders without fear of retribution'. He further said that the future will be won by those countries which will unleash the full potential of their population.

Al Jazeera's White House Correspondent Kimberly Halkett, however, said that Biden is returning home 'empty-handed' in terms of political achievements. He said he would have to push Saudi Arabia to supply more oil to lower U.S. fuel prices, but that goal has not been met.
