Minister of Education Dr. Dipu Moni announced this possible date of the exam.
The Education Minister said, 'Considering the overall situation, we hope that we can start the SSC, Dakhil and Vocational exams from September 15.'
The government postponed the SSC and equivalent exams after the floods started in different districts of the country. However, as the flood situation has improved, the Ministry of Education has decided to take the exam.
The SSC and equivalent exams were supposed to start on June 19, but just three days before that, due to floods in some districts of the country including Sylhet, the exams were postponed.
Note that this year more than 20 lakh 21 thousand students will participate in SSC and equivalent exams. Out of which there are 15 lakh 99 thousand 711 candidates under general 9 boards. On the other hand, 2 lakh 68 thousand 495 candidates under Madrasa Board and 1 lakh 53 thousand 662 candidates under Technical Education Board are expected to participate.
