Reena Verma, an old woman, stepped into her ancestral home in Pakistan after 75 years after crossing the barbed wire fence. After the partition of the country, this is the first time that the elderly woman got the opportunity to return to her native land.
Reena tried many times to return to her ancestral home in Rawalpindi, Pakistan after partition. But he was not successful. But this old woman did not give up. He appealed to the governments of the two countries if the strict regulations on visas for returning to ancestral homes could be eased. His visa application was approved a few days ago.
On Wednesday, 90-year-old Rina burst into tears after stepping into her ancestral home. This old lady said, these are my tears of joy. I will stand here and sing. As soon as Rina stepped on the road in front of the house, it started to rain. This old woman was happy with the locals by applying rose petals on her body. Not only that, he danced along with the residents to the beat of the drum.
Back at the original house, Rina says, the house is still the same. It's really nice to see. The old woman looked around the house and found her childhood memories. He was only 14 years old at the time of partition. At that time his family moved from Pakistan to Pune, India. Rina has not visited her home in Rawalpindi, Pakistan since then. So far that dream has been fulfilled.
In a video posted on social media, Reena Devi, a resident of Pune, said she used to live on Devi College Road in Rawalpindi. In his words, 'I studied in Modern School, my four siblings also studied in that school. My grandfather and an aunt used to study at Gordon College near Modern School.
