9 Bangladeshis are interested in going to Mars!

According to the news, more than 150,000 applications have been submitted for the non-return journey to Mars. Today is the deadline for applications to go to Mars. So far 1 lakh 65 thousand applications have been submitted to the Mars One office. Among them, there are 9 Bangladeshis including a female doctor. Apart from this, there are 8 thousand 107 Indians. They are interested in going to Mars on a one-way trip and settling.

Mars One, a non-profit organization from the Netherlands, has taken the initiative to settle Mars by 2023. There is only one condition, the journey of this mission to settle on Mars is one-way. That is, none of the Mars explorers will return to Earth. They have to build a new world on Mars.

The United States is the first in terms of applications. From there, 37 thousand 852 people have applied so far. 13 thousand 124 applications have been received from China, which is in the second position. The top ten are followed by Brazil (8,860), India (8,107), Russia (7,138), Britain (6,999), Mexico (6,771), Canada (6,593), Spain (3 ,621) and the Philippines (3,516 people).

According to data available from the Mars One project website as of August 27, India is in the fourth position in terms of applications. Applications have been submitted from 140 countries.

According to the information provided by them, 9 of the applicants are Bangladeshis. One of them is 24-year-old Esham, 42-year-old Canadian Sharif. Another Cypriot expatriate is Enayet Hossain (25). MD Enamul Haque (31) applied. He has a bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry from Dhaka University and is currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Sydney, Australia. Sharmin (24), who has a bachelor's degree in medicine from Dhaka Medical College, also wants to go to Mangal. Sharmin lives in Sydney, Australia. Mohammad Saiful Islam Roni (31), an engineer living in the UK, has applied. Besides, those staying in Bangladesh include Mehdi Mizan (30), Zakaria Habib (35) and Habib Dalal (35).

According to the website, Mars One has identified 300 geographic regions. A total of 50 to 100 applicants will be shortlisted for the second round of interviews. After the second round of interviews, 28 to 40 people will be finally selected for the mission. Training of selected candidates will start in 2015.
