Complaint against producer Jennifer in Mahir Shilpi Samiti

The Dhaka Times Desk Actress Mahia Mahi has filed a complaint against the co-producer of the movie 'Aashirvad' Jennifer Ferdous in the Film Artists Association. He made this complaint to the president and general secretary of the association on August 23.

অভিযোগপত্রে মাহিয়া মাহি লিখেছেন যে, ‘আমি ২০১২ সাল হতে সম্মানের সঙ্গে কাজ করে যাচ্ছি। সম্প্রতি ‘আশীর্বাদ’ সিনেমার প্রযোজক তাহেরা ফেরদৌস জেনিফার আমার বিরুদ্ধে নানা ধরনের মিথ্যা অভিযোগ এনে বাজে মন্তব্য করে চলেছেন। যেসব মন্তব্য ইতিমধ্যেই ইউটিউবসহ সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া এবং গণমাধ্যমে ভাইরাল হয়েছে। সেই সঙ্গে আমার বিরুদ্ধে মিথ্যা মামলা করার হুমকিও দিয়েছেন তারা।’

Mahi also wrote in the complaint, 'I am embarrassed by all these intentional statements and provocative actions of producer Jennifer. This is defaming me. Not only that, in all these statements of his, negative attitude towards artists is also observed in the public mind. It is tarnishing the image of all film artists. I am protesting these controversial actions of Jennifer Ferdous, including humiliating me.'

The movie 'Aashirvad' is releasing on August 26. The movie received a government grant of Tk 60 lakh in the financial year 2019-20. The dialogues of this movie are written by Abdullah Zaheer Babu. Apart from Roshan and Mahi, it also stars Kazi Hayat, Rehana Joli, Shahnoor, Rebecca, Shimanda and others.

It should be noted that the story of 'Blessing' is arranged in several stages from the student politics of the seventies, the liberation war to the current situation. The movie got government grant in 2019-20 financial year. Besides producing the movie, its story and screenplay is written by Tahera Jennifer Ferdous. Its dialogues are written by Abdullah Zaheer Babu.
