Ukraine exports 1 million tons of food products

The Dhaka Times Desk Ukraine has exported 1 million tons of food products under the grain agreement brokered by Turkey and the United Nations. These products were exported through the Black Sea port.

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said in a speech that these food products were exported in 44 ships to 15 countries. More food products will be shipped to different countries in the next few days. Zelensky said, Kiev aims to export 300,000 tons of food products in the next month. Meanwhile, Dmitry Medvedev, the former Russian president and a close ally of Vladimir Putin, said in a television interview that even if Ukraine gives up hope of joining the Western military alliance NATO, Russia will not be able to stop the war at the moment. Before the invasion of Ukraine last February, Moscow made it clear that it would not accept Ukrainian membership in NATO. In an interview with French television, Medvedev, the deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, said withdrawing from participation in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is still necessary, but not enough to establish peace. He also said that Russia will continue this campaign until the goal is achieved.

On the other hand, Russian President Putin has said that he wants to liberate Ukraine from the hands of the neo-Nazis.
