Although the shooting ended a long time ago, it is recently known that he did not do the work in the end even after taking 10 lakh taka from the producer of Mahiya Mahi. Actress Savarni from Tollyganj of Upper Bengal was finally joined in her place.
Savarni told how she got the opportunity to play the lead role instead of Mahi. The actress said, the shooting of the movie 'O My Love' started in 2018. Joining the lead role in this movie was really unexpected! Mahiya Mahir was supposed to play the lead role in this movie. I was supposed to do the second roll of this film. Which was later done by Amrita of Bangladesh. For some unknown reason, Mahi withdrew from the film. Then after shooting I was sitting for two days. I was staying in a hotel in Bangladesh with my mother. After three days, producers Jahangir Sikder, Morshed Khan Himel and Shamsuddin Tipu Bhai met at the hotel and offered me the lead role. I immediately said yes. It was unique and shocking to me. I have given time for the movie for about one and a half months. Hope everyone will like it. If the movie is accepted by the audience, I also want to act in more Dhallywood movies in the future.'
Mahiya Mahi was paid Tk 10 lakh in cash and Tk 1 lakh for clothes for acting in the movie 'O My Love'. Director Abul Kalam Azad said about it, 'After hearing the story several times, he signed the contract for the movie. However, the day before the shoot, Mahi asked to change the story and drop the second heroine from the movie. As he did not agree, he refused to act in the film. Then through the mediation of Zayed Khan, the general secretary of Shilpi Samiti, Mahi returned Tk 5 lakh in several stages, but the remaining Tk 6 lakh has not yet been returned. Jahangir Shikder also said that he will file a case to get back this 6 lakh rupees.
Under the banner of Excel Films, the film stars Amrita and Kolkata actress Savarni opposite Upper Bengal actor Riddish. Ahead of the release of the movie, its trailer is also released.
