The historic mosque you see is the historic Sharshdi Shahi Mosque of Feni. This mosque is located in Sharshdi Union of Feni Sadar Upazila on the side of Dhaka-Chittagong National Highway.

Fakhruddin Mubarak Shah was the founder of the first independent Muslim Sultanate in Bengal. He was the Sultan of Bengal from 1338 to 1349. His first capital was Sonargaon. On the other hand, Sharshdi was the second capital of Feni. Originally, after conquering the states of Tripura and Arakan, Feni gave the status of the second capital to Sharsdik of the district.

Kal Parikrama Today Sharshdi Union shines with its own identity in various fields including education, culture, religious events, sports. However, many historical structures have been lost in the course of time. This mosque has survived as a witness of history. Mughal architectural features of the Islamic architecture of the subcontinent emerged in this mosque!

About 450 years ago, this mosque has a well-designed design cut on the brick. The vine leaves are drawn with meticulous hand. Under its dome is an artistic atmosphere. This exquisitely crafted mosque is surrounded by 3 domes, the front wall of the mosque and the artistic atmosphere of lime surki. The entire mosque is built of lime, mud and brick.
