The Dhaka Times Desk TED Licensed DPS STS (Delhi Public) School Dhaka recently organized a grand event titled “TEDxDPSSTSSchool” to instill the aspiration and motivation to succeed in the youth.
This sequel to the popular TEDX event was held yesterday (October 15, 2022) at the Senior Campus Auditorium of DPS STS.
In line with the theme of the program - "Mind over Matter", several successful and influential personalities from different fields of the country participated in this event, whose success stories showed the youths who were present to break out of the limitations, overcome the obstacles on the way to achieve their goals and develop their own through self-power. Gains motivation to reach the highest peak of efficiency.
"TEDX" under the "TED" organization is basically an initiative that encourages the practice of practical change in society.
In this day-long TEDxDPSSTS School event, guest speakers and participants discussed various thought-provoking topics among the audience. All present participated with interest.
Guest speakers at the event included Golam Samdani Don, Corporate Trainer and Chief Inspirational Officer of Don Samdani Facilitation and Consultancy; Manije Ibrahim, author, lawyer and director of legal affairs at Ibrahim Securities Limited; Md Tajdin Hasan, founder of Mission Save Bangladesh and Chief Business Officer of The Daily Star; Anika Rabbani, World Yoga Alliance accredited yoga instructor and founder of yoga school Yoganica; Deborah Ephraimson, author, co-founder and Acting Executive Officer of The Institute of Wellbeing Bangladesh; Rizwana Hridita, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Hydrocoplus and Linwing; Rakin Absar, popular digital content creator; Sadman Sadiq, educator at Ten Minutes School and co-author of several self-help books; Sajid Asbat Khandkar and Sourdeep Pal, winners of the World Universities Debating Competition (WUDC) 2022; and Shah Rafayat Chowdhury, award-winning environmentalist and co-founder of Footsteps Bangladesh.
TEDxDPSSTSSchool provides a unique experience to sharpen the intelligence and thinking of the participants. This successful event was sponsored by Monash Pathways of Universal College Bangladesh and MA Taib Limited. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Shivanand CS, Principal of DPS STS School Dhaka. STS Group Higher Education Wing CEO Dr. Sandeep Ananthanarayan was also present on the occasion. Students and registrants of the school along with the senior leadership team of DPS STS attended the event.
Shalini Agarwala, Dean of Activities, was the overall supervisor of the TEDxDPSSTS School event. It is a platform where achievers share their journeys and personal struggles, and share their strategies to overcome them.
