The Dhaka Times Desk This year's destination of the Moscow-winning 'Adim' film is New York! At the upcoming Queens International Film Festival, Yuvraj Shamim's film 'Aadim' will compete with two screenings and films from different countries in important 4 categories.
The festival starts on November 1 in New York. This festival will continue till November 6. Including one exhibition at the city's Queen's Theatre, and the other at the Museum of the Moving Image. Recently, the festival authorities have confirmed the news of receiving nominations in total 4 categories in an email to the 'Adim' maker.
Out of which, the producer can already know the news of receiving nominations for Best Movie, Best Director and Best Cinematography in the 'Narrative Feature Film' category. Finally he was informed that the name of 'Adeem' is also in the best actor category. Badsha was nominated in this category for his performance as Langra.
The first of two screenings of Adim at the New York festival is for organizers, jurors, film directors, producers, distributors and other film crews, while the second screening is open to the general public for an honorarium.
After winning in Moscow last month, 'Adim' received rave reviews from the audience at the 25th Religion Today International Film Festival in Italy.
