Bagdhani Shahi Mosque is the oldest in Rajshahi

The three-domed historical and oldest Bagdhani Shahi Jame Mosque of Rajshahi carries the monument of 225 years of tradition.

There is a lot of empty space around this mosque. At a time when the river was the only route, this mosque was surrounded by the Barnai river gorge. According to that formula, the market is still held here two days a week. It is the only ancient market in the area. Ever since the construction of the mosque, people from far and wide have been making vows and offering prayers here.

The mosque is located at Bagdhani Kacharipara of Nowhata municipality, about 15 km north of Rajshahi district headquarters.

As soon as you enter the mosque, you will see its front door. There is also an inscription written in Persian characters. Where it is written in black letters 'Munsi Mohammad Enayetullah Bangla built this Shahi Mosque in 1200.'

The length of this mosque is 80 feet and width is 40 feet. The mosque has 3 mihrabs, 3 doors, 2 windows and a minaret. The four corners of the mosque also have beautiful carved dome shaped pillars.
