The Dhaka Times Desk Japan, USA and India have decided to use the world's fastest supercomputer for corona research.
It is reported that the genetic mutation of the corona will be analyzed using Japan's high-performance supercomputer 'Fugaku'.
The world's fastest 'Fugaku' supercomputer is built by Japanese tech giants Fujitsu and Riken. Built by two government-funded technology firms, the supercomputer Fugaku has 150,000 high-performance processing units. This computer is said to be faster and better than the US 'Summit' system.
And among the world's best 500 super computing systems, Summit System is number 2. This 'Summit' system is developed by US Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Satoshi Matsuoka, Director of Ricken Tech, told the media, "This 'Fugaku' is capable of working at 2.8 times the speed of the US supercomputer Summit system." On the other hand, this Fugaku is ahead of the world's modern supercomputers such as HPCG, HPL-AI and Graph 500. This is the first single system supercomputer in history.'
It is known that this supercomputer has been developed by Fujitsu Tech Group for six years. They hope that this supercomputer will start working next year. However, it has been announced to use the supercomputer for the first time in Corona research.
This computer will help in the analysis of changes in the gene structure of the virus or genetic mutation. Not only this, the world's fastest computer will also analyze data on how rapidly virus droplets are spreading in populated areas.
