Dream Metrorail: 7 police instructions to local residents on the occasion of inauguration

The Dhaka Times Desk The country's first metro rail is starting tomorrow on December 28. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the metro rail. In the beginning it will run from Uttara to Agargaon. On the occasion of the inauguration, the residents of the area have been given 7 instructions by the police.

The metro rail will start in the presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The first train of the dream metro rail service will be driven by a woman driver.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued 7 instructions to the residents of the metro rail-adjacent areas from Agargaon to Diabari to protect the Prime Minister on the inauguration day.

Directive 7 of the DMP states:

1. No new tenant can move into any building or flat before December 29.
2. No new office, shop, restaurant can be opened on December 28 in any commercial building.
3. On December 28, clothes will not be allowed to dry and no one will be allowed to stand on the balconies and roofs of any buildings adjacent to the Metrorail.
4. No pictures or festoons shall be placed on buildings or flats in those areas on that day;
5. No one can stay in the commercial area of any building adjacent to the Metrorail or in the residential hotel on December 28.
6. If there are legal weapons in any building or flat in the area from Agargaon to Diabari, they should be submitted to the police station by December 25.
7. All banks or ATM booths on both sides of the metro rail will be closed from the morning of December 28 till the inauguration ceremony.
