The Dhaka Times Desk The Indian government is going to start running luxury cruises on the river from Uttar Pradesh to Assam.
It will be the world's longest luxury river cruise. The Times of India has given such information in a report.
According to that report, the world's longest boat 'Ganga Vilas' is going to be launched between Bangladesh and India. On January 13, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially inaugurate this 4,000 km long travel route. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath confirmed this information on January 2.
Starting from Varanasi, one of the oldest cities in India, this cruise will continue through Bangladesh to Dibrugarh in Assam. The entire trip will take at least 50 days, of which 15 days will be spent in Bangladesh.
A total of 27 rivers in India and Bangladesh will fall on the journey of 'Ganga Vilas'. After starting the journey from India, this river will touch the scenic spots like Sundarbans or Kaziranga National Park in the longest waterway.
Tourists will not only stay on boats. They will get a chance to visit at least more than 50 heritage sites including Sundarbans, Sixty Dome Mosque, Sonargaon, Kaziranga National Park of India.
This luxurious yacht can accommodate up to 80 passengers at a time. The authorities have designated separate places in Pramodatari to enjoy the natural beauty on the banks of the river. There will be a total of 18 cabins inside this paradise. It has everything from LED TV to furnished toilet, balcony and much more.
Even though it is a government initiative, a private organization will be responsible for managing this amusement park. The central government of India has already started thinking of introducing many such waterways across India.
Ganga Bilas has yet to reveal how much it will cost to travel, and how much the ticket price will be per head. Transportation is not the main purpose of this water journey. The purpose of 'Ganga Vilas' is to travel. So all kinds of arrangements have been made for the entertainment of the tourists in this paradise.
