The mosque you see is the historic Kabila Shahi Jame Masjid in Comilla. This mosque is still standing as a witness of the times after passing 2 hundred and 35 years.
This mosque is located 100 yards from the Kabila bus stand of Burichong Upazila on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway of Comilla district. This mosque was first built in 1785. This mosque with one dome has 4 minarets at four corners. This mosque looks like ancient architecture.
Talking to the locals, it is known that there were two brothers named Kabil Majumdar and Habil Majumdar. They were very devoted. At that time, they donated their huge property to mosques, madrasas, schools, markets, cemeteries and other institutions. One of them is the Shahi Jame Masjid of Kabila.
