In a post shared on the social networking site LinkedIn, one's name emerged as the co-founder of a startup company called 'Nico Health'. The company specializes in artificial intelligence or AI powered body scanners. European news agencies 'Sifter' and 'Tech.EU.

According to the English version of Nico Health's website, the Swedish company's 'non-invasive full-body scanner' can detect and measure the growth of human birthmarks, rashes and age spots. Also, it uses separate scanners to detect abnormalities in heart function, blood pressure and pulse throughout the body.
Nico says that the company's 360-degree body scanner has more than 70 sensors, which collect more than 50 million data points from various parts of the human body, including the skin, heart, body, respiratory system, microcirculation.
This data is then analyzed by a 'self-learning' artificial intelligence-powered system, which communicates test results to doctors and patients. During the appointment, patients will be able to get test results and even monitor the progress of the results through a companion app, according to a report by tech site Verge. 'Our goal is to create a proactive healthcare system that can focus on disease prevention.' - Nielsen wrote in a LinkedIn post, citing rising healthcare costs in Sweden and the European Union.
Nico claims that it will take only a few minutes to scan the entire body through this scanner. Currently it is also launched for citizens of Sweden. Its price is about one hundred and ninety dollars. At the time of writing the report, the entire existing stock of the devices was sold out.
Verge says its foray into healthcare isn't exactly surprising. His investment in this startup started in November. He himself had been hinting to be involved in the healthcare sector for a long time. In 2013, the British newspaper Financial Times reported that people spend their free time thinking about how to fix a 'flawed' healthcare system.

Verge described the impact Niko Health could have on the healthcare sector as "probable" even though it's complicated. Similar technologies have emerged in the past as well. Meanwhile, Facebook and New York University have teamed up to speed up MRI scanners using AI. Moreover, researchers have also developed an AI technology that can predict the risk of possible heart disease by scanning the retina of a patient's eye. But Nico is also trying to bring this technology to a larger and more accessible way. The Verge called the prospect "amazing" to think about.
