Illegal structures are being built on railway land in Ishwardi. There is no one to see

God's representative A class of people have illegally occupied the railway site in Ishwari by managing the senior and local dishonest officials of the railways in exchange of huge sums of money or due to political influence. But there is no one to see. These places have been vacant for a long time.

Ishwardi is a major junction in the western zone of Bangladesh Railway. Khulna-Goaland Ghat remained on one side. On the other hand, through Rajshahi-Rahanpur, Jaipurhat-Hili to Syedpur-Pavartipur. Another railway line goes through Sirajganj to Tangail-Joidebpur and Dhaka's Kamalapur railway station. As Ishwardi is an important junction in the western zone, the railway staff quarter has been established here. Here is an important railway workshop-loco shed. There is a lot of space for railways as staff quarters are here. A common rail line has space on both sides. But there is largely abandoned rail space around the station. And on this occasion, someone took lease and illegally occupied the railway site. This process has been going on for a long time. Till date, no initiative has been seen to save these areas which have been dispossessed by the railways. Railway Minister Suranjit Sen said on assuming power four months ago that vacant railway land will be recovered. But due to the minister's resignation in the space of four months, that path was also blocked.

Establishments, markets, agricultural farms, etc. are being built in competition with the railway land. Hundreds of acres of land worth crores of rupees are becoming vacant. And because of this, the railway is becoming dangerous. Major accidents can happen at any time.

During the inspection, many owners of these establishments built on railway land claimed that they have constructed these markets, commercial establishments and private establishments on lease from the appropriate authorities. An owner of the facility built there said on the condition of anonymity, "For a long time, the game of taking over the railway land and building the facility is going on with the connivance of the local and senior dishonest officials of the railway." By paying a large amount of bribe, any railway land can be leased.

If this is the case, then what will happen to the recovery of the expropriated land of the railways? Who will make the railway free of illegal occupants? This is everyone's question now. It is our hope that the concerned authorities will take necessary measures to recover the expropriated land.
