Movement in modern lifestyle, changing food habits and lack of time can cause various diseases in our body. Experts believe that the more we become dependent on technology, the more disease is taking its toll on the body. According to the survey of the World Health Organization (WHO), problems like obesity, cholesterol, thyroid are increasing all over the world. The risk of heart disease is increasing due to those diseases.

If you look at the newspaper, you suddenly see the news of death due to heart attack. 18 to 60- All age groups are affected by silent heart attack or silent acute myocardial infarction (SAMI). Last year in India the examples of KK, Siddharth Shukla, Siddharth Suryavanshi, Raju Srivastava are creating fear of death in the minds of young people.

Several mistakes in daily routine are pushing us towards heart disease. Some mistakes we are doing knowingly, the bad effects of some habits unknowingly increase the risk of death. However, you can make up for the damage you have done this year by being a little careful in the coming year. What changes in lifestyle will reduce the risk of heart disease? That was the question posed to Indian doctor Suvarna Goswami on World Health Day.

All the diseases of the heart are called in the language of medical science, cardiovascular disease. Those at high risk of this disease can be divided into two groups. The first part is 'Non-Modified Risk Factor' i.e., we cannot change it even if we want to. In this case, those whose parents or ancestors have a history of heart disease, those who are older - the risk of heart disease is also much higher. It is not possible to avoid this risk even if you want to. The second part is 'modified risk factor', that is, which can be changed at will. Indian doctor Suvarna Goswami has discussed about 'modified risk factors'.

Doctor Suvarna Goswami told about the rules that are important to follow to avoid the risk of heart disease.

# The first step is to quit smoking completely to avoid the risk of heart disease. Smoking and tobacco products are one of the major causes of heart attacks. At the same time, drinking should be curbed.

# The higher the weight, the higher the risk of heart disease. You need to know how much your weight should be according to your height. Even if there is a problem with OBC, it is difficult! For weight loss diet should be looked at. Carbohydrate intake should be reduced, even if you eat refined carbohydrates, ie brown bread instead of regular bread, flour bread instead of flour bread. More vegetables and fruits should be kept in the diet. It should be eaten little by little. No outside food at all, home cooked food should be eaten. Fried foods, processed foods, red meat should be avoided. The amount of salt and sugar in food should be reduced.

# You need to exercise at least 5 days a week. 7 days is better if you can do it. Even if you don't do heavy exercise, you can walk briskly for at least half an hour every day. You can also do some light exercises.

# We are under a lot of pressure due to the surrounding circumstances. Due to which the risk of heart disease increases, along with high blood pressure, overeating, smoking, sleep problems, fatigue also occurs. So try not to indulge in any kind of stress or anxiety. You can also meditate to increase concentration. If you have a habit of reading books or listening to music, they also help in de-stressing.

# Not getting enough sleep at night also increases the risk of heart disease. Due to which stroke-heart problems can also occur. If you don't sleep regularly, then the oxygen supply in the blood is not good. So the body then releases stress hormones, due to which the risk of heart disease also remains.
