PTI vice chairman and women leader arrested again soon after release

The Dhaka Times Desk কারাগার থেকে মুক্তি পাওয়ার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে আবারও গ্রেফতার হয়েছেন পাকিস্তান তেহরিক-ই-ইনসাফের (পিটিআই) ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান শাহ মাহমুদ কুরেশি এবং নারী নেত্রী মুসাররাত জামশেদ চিমা।

গ্রেফতারের পর সাবেক মন্ত্রীকে কোথায় নেওয়া হয়েছে সেটি নিশ্চিত হওয়া যায়নি। গতকাল গ্রেফতার করে পুলিশ।

গ্রেফতারের পূর্বে কুরেশি সাংবাদিকদের বলেন, তিনি এখনও পিটিআইয়ে আছেন ও ভবিষ্যতেও থাকবেন।

কুরেশি এমন সময় পিটিআইয়ে থাকার কথা জানালেন যখন দলটি থেকে পদত্যাগের হিড়িক পড়ে গেছে। পদত্যাগের খাতায় সর্বশেষ নাম লিখিয়েছেন দলটির অন্যতম একজন প্রভাবশালী নেত্রী শিরিন মাজারি। তার পদত্যাগের ঘোষণা রাজনৈতিকভাবে চাপে থাকা ইমরান খানের জন্য বড় ধাক্কা হিসেবে দেখছে দেশটির রাজনৈতিক বিশ্লেষকরা।

ইসলামবাদ হাইকোর্ট হতে মুক্তির পূর্বে মঙ্গলবার (২৩ মে) কুরেশি একটি অঙ্গীকারপত্র জমা দিয়েছিলেন যে তিনি আন্দোলন সৃষ্টি করা এবং কর্মীদের উস্কানি দেওয়া থেকে বিরত থাকবেন।

উল্লেখ্য যে, পিটিআইয়ের ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান কুরেশিকে মুক্তি দেওয়ার জন্য ১৮ মে নির্দেশ দিয়েছিল ইসলামাবাদ হাইকোর্ট। সেইসঙ্গে আদালত জনশৃঙ্খলা আইনে তার গ্রেফতারের বিষয়টিকে ‘বেআইনি’ বলেও অভিহিত করেছিলেন।

সাবেক পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রীকে পাঞ্জাব এবং খাইবার পাখতুনখোয়ায় দাঙ্গা ও অগ্নিসংযোগের ঘটনায় পুলিশ গ্রেফতার করে।
