In this regard, doctors say, if newborns do not get enough oxygen in their body or if they are unable to withstand the pressure of birth, they may develop problems like hypertension.
A recent study says that a hormone called 'Vasopressin' which has immense importance can get rid of this problem. A recent study showed that the use of this hormone in the antidiuretic phase makes the blood vessels more smooth. Due to which the blood circulation throughout the body becomes normal. And then gradually the blood pressure also returns to normal level.
In this regard, doctors said, this disease can be said to be really rare in newborns. 1 in 500 children may suffer from this condition. Various studies conducted on them have shown that this widely used hormone plays a vital role in problems like 'hypoxia', 'hypotension' and 'persistent pulmonary hypertension' in children after birth.
A study led by pediatrician Sachin Shah found that 29 out of 31 newborns were treated remarkably. The information was recently published in the journal 'National Library of Medicine'. Doctor Sachin Shah said, “The use of vasopressin will be particularly effective in this problem in newborns. However, the researchers feel that more research is needed to confirm this."
