500 years ago found spices in the sunken ship!

The Dhaka Times Desk Spices have been found in a shipwreck that sunk in the Baltic Sea in Sweden 500 years ago, not a day or two! It contains chili, ginger and other spices. The quality of this spice is still intact.

According to Reuters, the excavation led by archaeologist Brendan Foley of Lund University found the spice buried in the sediment.

According to that report, the ship owned by King Hans of Denmark and Norway sank in Sweden's Baltic Sea 500 years ago. The ship is believed to have caught fire and sunk while the king was on his way to attend a political meeting off the coast of Sweden.

Archaeologists have reported that it has been lying on the coast of Ronebi since 1495. Some spices were found in very well preserved condition from the wreckage of that ship. These include chillies and ginger.

The excavations were reportedly led by Lund University archaeologist Brendan Foley. He said, finding this kind of spice is really quite amazing.
