Trial run of Metrorail on Agargaon-Motijheel route has started

The Dhaka Times Desk After Uttara to Agargaon, Metrorail has started running on Motijheel route. The official 'Performance Test' of the Agargaon to Motijheel section of Metrorail's MRT-6 line began today (Friday).

On Friday (July 7) at 4:34 PM, the Metrorail ran from Agargaon to Motijheel as soon as Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader waved the green flag and gave the signal. However, there were no passengers in this metro rail as the movement started experimentally.

On Friday afternoon, Obaidul Quader inaugurated the first stage of the experimental movement, the aptitude test or performance test.

Obaidul Quader said at the opening ceremony of the trial run of Metrorail that the Metrorail will run on a regular basis from today. At the end of next October, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate regular passenger transport of metro rail from Agargaon to Motijheel section. We are going to cross another milestone of Sheikh Hasina's government's important mega project MRT line. Then the work of 5 more lines will start.
