The Dhaka Times Desk At least 12 people, including 2 policemen, were killed by an unknown gunman at the naval base of Washington, the capital of the United States, on Monday morning.
According to the New York Times, unidentified people wearing military uniforms suddenly attacked civilians, during which 2 policemen and 10 American citizens were killed. The gunman also died in a shootout with the police and police are looking for another gunman. No one knows the details about them yet. The sudden indiscriminate firing at 8.20 am sent people into panic, following which the police and law enforcement personnel quickly cordoned off the entire area. The police's own helicopter also took part in the rescue operation.
