According to sources, Biswajit's murder was witnessed by many people. Among them, rickshaw driver Ripon Sardar, cleaner Parvati Howladar of Incentive Dental Clinic and Azizul Hakeem, a Tehari vendor on the footpath adjacent to Victoria Park, have become important witnesses in this murder case. Parvati Howladar, a cleaner, told the court that she was on the second floor at the time of the incident. He went down to fetch water. In the meantime, when the fight started, he could not go inside. After the murder, he washed the blood stains from different places of the Incentive Clinic with water. Azizul Hakim, a Tehari vendor, witnessed the attack with sharp weapons. Apart from this, Swapan Mia was working at the dustbin on the north side of Victoria Park at the time of the incident. He gave important information about the incident to the court. Apart from this, Haider Ali, the tea shopkeeper around the scene, Biswajit's post-mortem doctor Dr. Maqsood gave their testimony in court. Biswajit's close relatives Uttam, Uttam's cousin Utpal and Robin Das narrated the brutal murder to the court as indirect witnesses.

It should be noted that during the siege of the 18-party coalition on December 9, tailor shop Biswajit was beaten and hacked to death near Victoria Park in Old Dhaka. Metropolitan detective police was able to identify 21 people of Jagannath University Chhatra League involved in this incident and arrest 8 people. Chapati Shakeel, Mahfuzur Rahman Nahid and Rasheduzzaman Shaon among the arrested persons gave a confessional statement under section 164 in the court. On March 5, 2 months and 24 days after Biswajit's murder, DB Police filed a charge sheet in the court accusing 21 people.
