3 thousand 566 students passed in technical education board; The pass rate is 80.69 percent. 3 thousand 524 people got GPA-5 from this board. Last year 1,205 people achieved perfect GPA.

History has been created in this year's SSC results. This result published on May 7 is the best in the history of Bangladesh. The pass rate is 86.32 percent. However, with few exceptions, there has been improvement over the past few years in terms of pass rates and GPA-5 gains. The average pass rate of SSC candidates in 8 general education boards last year was 82.16 percent. In 2010 it was 78.19 percent, in 2009 it was 67.41 percent. In the previous year or 2008, the pass rate was 70.81 percent. Similarly in 2007 the pass rate was 57.37 percent. In 2006 it was 59.42 percent. The number of students securing GPA-5 in eight general boards also set a record. 62 thousand 134 people received in 2010. In 2009, there were 45 thousand 934 people. The previous year or 2008 received 41 thousand 917 people. When the grading system was first introduced in 2001, only 76 students across the country achieved the highest marks in the SSC that year.

Among the total 62 thousand 788 students who got GPA-5 last year, 36 thousand were boys and 26 thousand 788 were girls. It is reported that out of 10 lakh 52 thousand 969 students in SSC, 5 lakh 32 thousand 818 are female students and 5 lakh 20 thousand 115 male students. This is the first time that the number of female students is 12 thousand 667 more than male students in SSC.
