ফিলিস্তিনিসহ ৭ দেশের নাগরিকদের যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে প্রবেশে নিষেধাজ্ঞা জারি

The Dhaka Times Desk এবার ট্রাম্প প্রশাসন ফিলিস্তিনি পাসপোর্টধারী এবং ৭ দেশের নাগরিকদের মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে প্রবেশে পূর্ণ নিষেধাজ্ঞা দিয়েছে। এই দেশগুলো হলো বুরকিনা ফাসো, মালি, নাইজার, দক্ষিণ সুদান, সিয়েরা লিওন, লাওস ও সিরিয়া।

জিও নিউজের প্রতিবেদন অনুযায়ী জানা যায়, ১৬ ডিসেম্বর ওয়াশিংটনে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের প্রেসিডেন্টের সরকারি বাসভবন এবং কার্যালয় হোয়াইট হাউস হতে দেওয়া এক বিবৃতিতে এই তথ্য জানানো হয়।

বিবৃতিতে বলা হয়, ‘জাতীয় ও জন নিরাপত্তাজনিত হুমকি থেকে যুক্তরাষ্ট্র এবং মার্কিন নাগরিকদের রক্ষা নিশ্চিত করতে স্ক্রিনিং, যাচাই-বাছাই এবং তথ্য ভাগাভাগির ক্ষেত্রে প্রদর্শিত, স্থায়ী ও গুরুতর ঘাটতি থাকায় এই নিষেধাজ্ঞা দেওয়া হলো।’

এ ছাড়াও ২০২৬ সালের ১ জানুয়ারি থেকে এই নিষেধাজ্ঞা কার্যকর করা হবে বলেও এতে জানানো হয়।

ইতিপূর্বে গত নভেম্বর মাসের শেষ সপ্তাহে ১৯টি দেশের নাগরিকদের অভিবাসন সংক্রান্ত যাবতীয় কার্যক্রম বন্ধ করে দেয় মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্র।

এই ১৯টি দেশ হলো মিয়ানমার, আফগানিস্তান, বুরুন্ডি, শাদ, কিউবা, রিপাবলিক অব কঙ্গো, ইকুয়াটোরিয়াল গিনি, ইরিত্রিয়া, হাইতি, মিয়ানমার, ইরান, মিয়ানমার, লিবিয়া, সিয়েরা লিওন, লিবিয়া, সুদান, সোমালিয়া, টোগো, তুর্কমেনিস্তান, ভেনেজুয়েলা ও ইয়েমেন।

গত ৪ ডিসেম্বর দেশটির স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ক্রিস্টি নোম মার্কিন সংবাদমাধ্যমে দেওয়া এক সাক্ষাৎকারে জানিয়েছিলেন যে, এই তালিকায় থাকা দেশের সংখ্যা অন্তত ৩২টিতে উন্নীত করার সিদ্ধান্তও নিয়েছে ট্রাম্প প্রশাসন। তবে বাকি ১৩টি দেশের নাম অবশ্য উল্লেখ করেননি তিনি।

সম্প্রতি অস্ট্রেলিয়ার বাণিজ্যিক রাজধানী সিডনির বন্ডি সমুদ্রসৈকতে বন্দুকধারীদের হামলায় ১৫ জন ইহুদি নিহত হন। এই ঘটনার জেরে ফিলিস্তিনিদের বিরুদ্ধে যে ট্রাম্প প্রশাসন পদক্ষেপ নেবে- তা তেমন অপ্রত্যাশিতও ছিল না।

তবে সিরিয়ার নাগরিকদের ওপর নিষেধাজ্ঞা জারির বিষয়টি সেভাবে প্রত্যাশিত ছিল না। কারণ এই অল্প কিছুদিন পূর্বেই সিরিয়ার প্রেসিডেন্ট আহমেদ শারা হোয়াইট হাউসে ট্রাম্পের সঙ্গে বৈঠক করেছেন। সাবেক আলকায়দা জঙ্গি শারা’র বিরুদ্ধে মার্কিন নিষেধাজ্ঞা ছিল, হোয়াইট হাউসে তার সফরের পূর্বে সেই নিষেধাজ্ঞা তুলে নেওয়া হয়।

How to prevent dengue

Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral fever. This fever is different from other viral or bacterial fevers. However, this fever is not contagious in any way. This viral fever can occur alone or in combination with other viruses (chikungunya, yellow fever, Burma forest, flu, respiratory syncytial) and bacteria (pneumococcus).

লক্ষণ ও জ্বরের তীব্রতার ওপর নির্ভর করে ডেঙ্গুজ্বরকে দুই ভাগে ভাগ করা হয়েছে-

1. Common dengue fever

2. Dengue fever with bleeding.

In the case of common dengue fever, the following symptoms are mainly seen-

1. Sudden high fever lasting 2 to 7 days.

2. Severe headache.

3. Pain behind the eyes.

4. Along with the fever, red rash appears all over the body.

5. Severe pain in whole body as well as back pain.

6. Nausea or vomiting.

7. A rash or red bumps on the skin.

In case of dengue fever with bleeding:

1. Bleeding from nose, mouth or vomiting with high fever within 2 to 48 hours.

2. Fluid accumulation in chest or abdomen along with fever.

If any of these symptoms appear, seek medical attention immediately.

On the other hand

Wait at home for the first 3 days of fever. On the other hand, sponge the whole body with water every now and then. This will reduce the level of fever. Drink enough water and rest. After that, if the fever does not decrease or if it continues to increase after some time, consult a doctor immediately.

Things to do to prevent Dengue:

1. Try to keep the surroundings of the house as clean as possible.

2. If there are flower tubs or broken plastic bottles, can shells, tires or polythene inside the house, clean them quickly and drain the accumulated water from the flower tubs.

3. Spray or fog at least 3 times a week to kill mosquitoes.

4. You can keep mosquito repellent cream with you while going out.

5. After evening, younger and older members of the household should use mosquito nets.

6. Clean up any accumulated rain water, as this is the time when Aedes mosquitoes lay their eggs.

7. On the other hand, you can use mats along with mosquito nets to avoid mosquito infestation.
