It is possible to replace damaged human skin using 3D Printing!

The Dhaka Times Desk 3D printing is a very new technology, recently doctors in the United Kingdom have taken the initiative to replace damaged skin by using this technology in medical science.

In short:

  • 3D printing A technology that has been discussed recently.
  • This is the first initiative to replace damaged human skin with the help of 3D printing.
  • The use of 3D printing in the medical field in the future depends on this initiative.

Details: Currently, 3D printing is the winner! What was previously unimaginable is now becoming possible with the help of 3D printing. Researchers say that with the help of 3D printing, doctors can perform special operations to restore the damaged skin of a patient injured in an accident.

A patient who was seriously injured while riding a bike lost part of his face. After taking him to the doctors, the British doctors will use 3D printing technology to replace the patient's damaged skin after conducting various tests.

In the case of using 3D printing technology, first the doctors will take the size and image of the good part of the patient's face through the computer and 3D print it out to create a new skin for the damaged part through 3D printing and medical-grade titanium A new skin will be created in the pattern of the damaged part and it will be transplanted to the patient's face.

The entire operation will be performed by a maxillofacial surgeon at Morriston Hospital Adrian Sugar, he said, "The patient has lost some parts of his face which are very difficult to replace, but we have decided to replace these parts with the help of 3D printing technology."

However, the 3D printing technology in medical surgery is still very new, so the researchers say that the future prospects of 3D printing in medical science depend a lot on this operation. If it is possible to successfully replace human skin using 3D printing technology, it will be great news for people affected by various accidents.
