The Dhaka Times Desk At the time of the 'dow-axe' situation in the politics of Bangladesh, two finance ministers of the two major parties, Abul Mal Abdul Muhit and Sylhet City Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury, set a precedent by riding the rickshaw!
Seeing such a scene, there was a good air of peace among the people. People always want the politicians of this country to always be united, shoulder to shoulder with each other and work for the people of the country. But in reality, it is never seen in the leaders of the two major parties in this country. The nation was further disappointed by the language used by the two leaders in their recent phone conversation.
Finance Minister Abul Mal Abdul Muhit and Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury rode in the same rickshaw this Saturday morning. People are really happy to see such a scene. This incident was seen around 11 o'clock on Saturday. These two leaders of the two major parties created this example while inspecting the de-encroachment work of the city. Khabar Bangladesh News24.
According to the news, Mayor Arif went out in the morning with Mayor Arif to see various paintings of Sylhet city including Gowalichhara in Raynagar area near Mirabazar of the city. Farhad Khan took a rickshaw from the area adjacent to Pulstha Hrama and went through the neighborhood road to see the inner area of the Finance Minister and Mayor Gowalichara. It is known that later they returned there by riding a rickshaw.
After the visit, the finance minister told reporters that traffic congestion and waterlogging are two of the problems in Sylhet city. Ariful Haque has been elected mayor and has done these two tasks. I applaud that.
Finance Minister also said, we want to work for the development of Sylhet. There is no party, no differences in public service. In this case, everyone should be united. Funds have been allocated for the initial work of rham rescue. I will give all kinds of help in this.
He said, everyone should remember that the entire city should not suffer because of one of my interests. He requested the city dwellers to vacate the spaces occupied by those who occupied them.
Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury said in his response that almost all the plots have been occupied. If these are free from encroachment, there will be no waterlogging. The beauty of Sylhet city will increase. Projects like Hatirjheel can be taken up. This rescue process is a long and difficult task. Yet it will. I believe that everyone will cooperate in this by thinking about the citizens of the city. He thanked the Finance Minister for his cooperation.
